Meet the 2025 Farm Bureau Farm Dog of the Year

Livestock guardian dog Sirius is a “hero behind the heroes” – a herd of miniature therapy horses that bring comfort to adults and children in hospitals, hospice programs and assisted living programs, in addition to families, veterans and first responders who have experienced traumatic events. Owners Jorge and Debbie Garcia-Bengochea know the horses are safe when Sirius is on alert.

She’s more than just a tool on the farm. Bindi’s work goes beyond the farm. At the end of the day, Bindi is my constant companion.

- Sonja Galley, New York Farm Bureau

Woody is my constant companion. When he got that cow off of me I knew there was something to him and he’s been a great farm dog.

- Joe Sheeran, Texas Farm Bureau

How important a ranch dog is to a rancher... They truly enrich our lives and make ranching the best job in the world.

- Beth and Rhett Crandall, Utah Farm Bureau

People's Choice Pup

Farm dogs come in all shapes and sizes. Meet Daisy, the 2025 People’s Choice Pup. Daisy, a rescue pup, is a rescuer herself. After her dog mom Lora fell at home, Daisy came to the rescue by barking for help. That’s the true definition of a farmer’s best friend.
