#WomenInAg recognizes the contributions of women involved in agriculture during Women’s History Month (March). AFBF is proud to salute Dr. Emily Buck, an Ohio farmer and Farm Bureau leader!

Buck is a recent graduate of the American Farm Bureau’s Partners in Advocacy Leadership program. She currently serves as one of the U.S. Farmers & Ranchers Alliance’s Faces of Farming for 2017.

Buck and her husband grow soybeans, corn and wheat while also raising Southdown sheep. Proud to work in the agriculture industry, she loves the rewarding feeling of a successful harvest or lambing season. Off the farm, Buck is an ag communications professor at The Ohio State University, where she is proud to teach the next generation of agricultural communicators.

She serves in various chair and committee member positions for the American Association for Agricultural Education, Ohio Sheep Improvement Association, North American College Teachers of Agriculture and Association for Communication Excellence in Ag and Natural Resources.
