Fox Business News: Food Gluts Ease U.S. Barbecue Expenses

The American Farm Bureau Federation was recently cited by FOX Business News for its informal survey conducted on the cost of a summer cookout. The average cost of this year’s meal for 10 is $55.70, a slight decrease from $56.06 last year. AFBF’s menu included summer favorites like hamburgers, pork ribs, hot dogs and watermelon. Fox noted that the increased amount of various agriculture commodities explains why a Fourth of July cookout is slightly more affordable this year.
